The Drake Hotel was built as the nation’s first urban resort located at the top of The Magnificent Mile and Oak Street Park & Beach. The Historic Hotel of America has been welcoming guests, since opening on New Years' Eve 1920, offering amenities and services synonymous with Gold Coast living. Attractions within walking distance of the hotel include the famous Water Tower, which survived the Chicago Fire, and the John Hancock Tower, one of Chicago’s tallest structures.
Reservations can be made at the group rate of $249 for single or double occupancy (plus 17.4% tax) by calling the hotel at 1-800-553-7253 and referencing the SUO/AADO/OPDO Annual Combined Meeting. Online reservations can also be made by visiting https://aws.passkey.com/go/amcollegesur.
Reservations received after the cut-off date of October 19, 2017, or when the room block is full, will be based on space and rate availability. Cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to arrival in order to avoid a cancellation fee equal to one night’s room and tax. Hotel check in is at 3:00pm and checkout is at 12:00 noon.
Shuttle airport service, through Go Airport Express, is available from both O’Hare International and Midway airports. Online reservations can be made by visiting http://www.airportexpress.com/. Taxis are also available at both airports
